Market Bosworth got back to winning ways with a hard fought victory over Leicester Forest East. The away team got off to a flying start with some direct forward play leading to an excellent try in the first few minutes of the game. Bosworth maintained their composure and gradually took control of the first half as they dominated the breakdown with some excellent rucking as the back row of Bryn Jones, Louis Chessman and Ollie Nott made their pace count. It was no surprise when captain Ollie Nott was in support to take a scoring pass from scrum half Ben Wilkes who had made a clean break and was unlucky not to get to the line himself. This score reduced the deficit to two points. The Bosworth pack continued to create great opportunities but the backs were just not able to exploit the overlaps and transfer the possession into points. On the stroke of half time Bosworth deservedly took the lead as full back Matt Bratton caught a clearing kick and strongly ran the ball back for a try. In the second half it looked as though Bosworth would pull away but Leicester Forest dug in and competed strongly to keep themselves in the game. Props Neale Farthing, Ben Garrigan and Mitchell Ackroyd were dynamic and created pressure with their driving runs. As the match moved into its final quarter Bosworth were please to welcome flanker Jake Everson-Crane back after an extended absence due to illness. With 5 minutes to go after a sustained period of pressure in LFE 22 Bosworth sealed the victory when Ollie Nott picked the ball up at number 8 to score his second try of the match, Matt Bratton converted to take the final score to 17-7.
