Worcester 34 - 0 Bosworth PDF Print E-mail
After a 5 week Christmas break without any matches or training due to the weather Bosworth travelled to Worcester for the first match of the new year. Worcester had managed to beat the winter freeze with some matches and training and a gap in fitness levels quickly became apparent. In the first half possession and territory were evenly matched and although Worcester soon had two tries on the board it looked as though Bosworth would be able to make a game of it as winger Matt Stocks threatened with some great breaks. Worcester took control with a try immediately before half time after a series of rucks which took the steam out of Bosworth and a well worked try ensued to make the half time score 17-0. Bosworth showed great attitude in the second half and refused to let their heads drop, led by captain Ollie Nott who stood out with his work in the breakdown. There was also some great defensive work from the centres Ryan Locke, Will Smith and Louis Chessman together with some excellent covering tackles from full back Matt Bratton.  The final score was 34-0 with Worcester adding 3 more tries in the second half as the Bosworth team tired.
