Bosworth u13s v Northampton Old Scouts u13s PDF Print E-mail
Bosworth u13's welcomed Northampton Old Scouts to Cadeby Lane and despite an even first 10 minutes Bosworth gained the initiative when the forwards upped the anti to release the backs and from this they scored 7 first half tries.
Seb Allen broke the gain line weaved in and out to cross for the first,Joe Randon added the conversion but Old Scouts hit back and after a short period of sustained pressure they crashed over using their forwards.Bosworth,s forwards then came into their own and were first to the breakdown and with good rucking scrum half Tom Randon was able to get great ball and Declan Cartwright was able to out pace the Old Scouts defence to score and it was these two players who provided 2 more scores each with Joe Randon grabbing the other who also along with Allen banged over three more conversion,s
It must be said that these tries were scored through great team work with outside centre James Goodman particularly impressive in the off load.

Half Time Score Bosworth u13's 38 Old Scouts 5

Bosworth played most off the second half in Old Scouts territory and with the whole squad being used the backs once again made good use of the ball to put winger Joe Beer and he did'nt disappoint to claim two tries.
With the back's claiming all of Bosworth's scores the rugby saying "Forwards win games of rugby, back's just score the tries" was certainly in evidence in this game.
Tom Grabham was man of the match for a great performance at prop and Jack Coyne was the days best tackler.
